Turner Broadcasting System has decided to shut down its Hindi general entertainment channel, Imagine TV. It had acquired the channel from NDTV in 2010.
The channel was bought over by Turner Broadcasting System from NDTV in 2010.
Turner Broadcasting System said on Wednesday that its Cartoon Network channel would remain pay after the introduction of conditional access system from next month.
Leading broadcasters Zee-Turner and Set Discovery have challenged in TDSAT sectoral regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's guidelines on pricing of cable TV charges in non-conditional access system areas. Trai regulation directs them to provide their channels on a 'la carte' basis.
